  General Responsibilities   Handle cash, credit, or check transactions with customersScan goods and collect paymentsEnsure pricing is correctIssue change and receiptsRedeem stamps and couponsCount money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate changeMake sales referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new onesResolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant informationBag items carefullyGreet customers when entering or leaving the marketMaintain clean and tidy checkout areasProcess returns and check to see if items are damagedAnswer customers’ questions and get a manager if answer doesn’t solve the issueProvide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction    

Gaming Responsibilities: The Benewah Market includes a gaming area that may require a person in this position to meet additional qualifications and fulfill additional responsibilities.  These include:   Follow Gaming Policy and Procedures for all gaming activities.Verify and cash gaming payouts.Ensure all gaming documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.Check gaming machines weekly in order to ensure compliance standards are maintained.Maintain record of all gaming machine maintenance and repairs.Schedule gaming machine repairs as needed.Ensure gaming machines are stocked with gaming cash-out vouchers.    
SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS
  Excellent customer service skills.Maintain composure during stressful situations and conditions.Follow policy and procedures in emergency situations, i.e. theft, robbery, power outages, network and equipment failures, etc.Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners.Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds.Knowledgeable about company’s products and services, and customer-related policies.
